NOOMA helps me manage my chronic health conditions and feel better than ever.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with CECS (chronic exertional compartment syndrome) of both lower legs. The doctors said this was only ever seen in higher-level athletes, however I swore that this was my condition given my research and asked to be tested.. My numbers were sky high, resulting in a quicky scheduled surgery. I was playing field hockey competitively at the time, both for my high school and for a year-round travel team.

I had surgery on both legs that was supposedly going to get me back on the field. Unfortunately, in 2014 I tested positive for CECS in both legs again. I underwent a double fasciectomy in which they removed parts of the fascia in my compartments in order to release all of the pressure. I had hope that I would get to run again, however this was goodbye to my dream of playing Divison 1 hockey. In 2019 I tested positive for CECS for the third time.

I had been to countless surgeons, specialists, physical therapists, etc. I had tried everything. I started working with a holistic nutritionist then a chiropractor then a gait specialist and finally a functional medicine doctor. I made a full lifestyle change in regards to my diet, exercise, and mindset. Then I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2021, and my doctor's suspect(ed) a connective tissue disease and/or EDS. I started playing around with exercise and what felt best for my body.

I also started drinking NOOMA. I found that when I did what FELT right instead of just trying to crush myself in a workout and began fueling myself with organic foods/drinks, adaptogens, clean caffeine, etc. and cutting out artificial ingredients and colors, ultra-processed foods, fake sweeteners, etc. things began to turn around for me.

I still have moments of pain and discomfort, however I am an entirely different person today than I was in 2010. I am 27 today and feel better than I did when I was 17. I am beyond grateful for companies such as NOOMA that help me better myself both mentally and physically. Thank you, NOOMA!!

NOOMA Energy Drink helps me take care of my patients as a pediatric nurse.

I am a nurse at a Children’s hospital. I normally go to sleep at 9:30 pm and wake up at 6:00; but since starting work, I have been working shifts from 7 pm until 7 am. I tried drinking coffee, but it made me feel jittery and not good.

I was really struggling, but drinking Nooma’s has helped me have more energy during my shifts and also on my days off! They have helped improve my quality of life and make nightshifts manageable! I am so thankful!!

NOOMA Energy Drink helps me serve my community as a first responder.

I work as a first responder. I see it every day, officers grabbing for those bang energy drinks, or the Reign or monsters. I fell victim to it too. I would grab an energy drink just to power through a dreaded night shift. However, I started looking into those products and realized that half the ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce.

I also decided to change my ways because a fellow officer started developing seizures as a direct result of his excessive energy drink usage. I did some research and discovered Nooma. The ingredients are amazing, they taste great, and I don’t have to worry about any side effects that could affect me during a shift. I get to serve my community and take care of myself at the same time. Nooma gives me all day energy, without the crash. Nooma has been a blessing on my journey.

NOOMA Sports Drink gave me strength during labor.

When I gave birth to my first baby I had made a homemade “laboraid” with coconut water. Turns out I hate coconut water 😂 it was disgusting and I could hardly drink it in labor. When I got pregnant with my second a few years later I knew I needed a healthy option for labor and I wasn’t going the DIY route again! I luckily found Nooma and gave it a try (I made sure to try it before labor this time).

So delicious! I drank it through labor with my second birth and again through my third. It tastes great, is low in sugar, and isn’t full of junk. It’s been the perfect drink to give me strength through labor.

NOOMA Sports Drink helped me run the NYC marathon.

In 2020 when all the races were canceled I started training for the virtual NYC Marathon. During that time I had the negative experience of being chased in a car by someone who meant harm. The days that followed were full of off and on anxiety triggered by my heart rate.

I already had experienced some digestive issues but the stress of the situation made those issues worse. Someone recommended Nooma to keep my body hydrated and happy while I was healing emotionally and still training. I ended up running that race without any cramps, or stomach problems.

I eventually ran NYC (November 6, 2022) in person with tears in my eyes. I met my goal to run NYC but it took a bunch of little wins along the path to get me there. Hydration that doesn't hurt me in any way was a big deal and I'll always be grateful. Thank you Nooma!

NOOMA Sports Drink helped me return to my workouts following a miscarriage.

I learned about Nooma in summer of 2020, but I had just found out I was pregnant so I was going to have to wait to try it.

A few weeks later I lost our baby at 11 weeks and after recovering from my miscarriage I went back to my OTF classes and ordered my first mixed variety case of Nooma! I clearly remember my first day back and there’s no way I would have gotten through that workout without it. I have used off and on since then and now while working out at home with our rainbow baby. Thank you for making the best products! ❤️

NOOMA helped me lose weight and work toward loving myself.

Losing weight has always been a struggle for me. My thyroid doesn’t like to work as quickly as it should, so my hormone levels fluctuate unpredictably. This means that my metabolism is always weird; sometimes I’ll go for days without feeling hungry once, and other times, I’ll be ravenous every moment of the day. Especially while growing up, this made me a constant target of extreme cyber bullying, and my peers would always attack my weight. It got so bad that I ended up developing body dysphoria. Even now, I have a hard time looking at the mirror at myself because it makes me so, incredibly depressed. After college, I started to find little things here and there that helped me manage my hormone levels better.

Nooma is one of them. When I do fasted cardio in the mornings, Nooma keeps me hydrated and free of nausea (another symptom of my weird hormone levels), and this helps me keep the cardio going for a little longer.

I also believe that the adaptogens in the Nooma has greatly improved my metabolism maintenance. I’ve still got a ways to go to heal completely from the body dysphoria, but I can definitely say that Nooma has helped me lose enough weight to start dressing in ways that I’ve always wanted to portray myself. Though this may seem a bit superficial, these are my baby steps towards fully healing and being able to love myself. For that…. thank you ❤️

NOOMA Energy Drink helps me stay focused and alert around the world.

My job involves frequent travel, sometimes across entire continents or oceans. Whenever I would get to my destination there was always one thing I’d look forward to more than sleep. That was to have a great workout and make the best of whatever equipment I could find in the hotel gym I ended up at.

The clarity and focus that NOOMA energy gave me to push through all those workouts is a feeling only those who have enjoyed NOOMA energy can understand. It’s not the jittery feeling which so many pre workouts have caused but a much lighter feeling of energy with no crash afterward. I’m thankful my wife turned me on to NOOMA as a healthier alternative for energy because it has yet to let me down. Great work NOOMA team!
